no built-in fireplace? no problem! at least not with these freestanding . i’ve often thought about installing one of these c in my living room. it’s one of the things i miss most about some of my previous homes. i know it’s warm most of the time in los angeles, but it’s been a mite chilly recently (raining yet again this weekend) and so my imagination gets me wandering back to the idea of adding one of these wonderful Wood Burning Fireplaces to my home. so cozy, right?

welcome to the weekend, friends. i was really looking forward to hitting the on sunday, so if you could all do a little non-rain dance for me, that would be so appreciated! i’m on the hunt for small sculptures and artwork, much like you see here today, so i’d like the sun to shine at least for a little while this weekend. i hope you have some fun plans on your agenda, too! see you monday!

xo, victoria

  1. this is just the perfect and the as the pièce de résistance is giving it the unexpected whimsy i always aspire to.
  2. a ? yes, please. i only see it getting more interesting looking as it ages and patinas. such a sophisticated and beautiful idea and one i might need to copy one day.
  3. this is such a and the thing that sends it over the top is the dramatic bedspread. we’ve been experimenting with hand dying some for super marché and i can’t wait to share them with you. they’ve got a similar vibe.
  4. this is spot on. i am very into sculpture right now and have been on the hunt for more to add to my rapidly growing collection. this one is just great!
  5. i’d not really thought to do this before, but i love the idea of this and perhaps it wouldn’t be too difficult to diy using a vintage cabinet from a salvage yard, hmmmm?
  6. this is one beautiful little and i love the vintage seascapes and that killer black as well.
  7. speaking of , this is a beauty and i quite like the styling of the shelving as well. more and more i love the idea of adding .
  8. there’s also some very creative happening in this kitchen. again, the addition of unexpected artwork and the black wall sconce really make an impact.

let’s have a coffee in new york city today, shall we? we’re going to pop into this very charming spot, in soho.
