greetings from soggy los Angeles! we never get this much rain, and although personally, i love it, walking my dog lucy in it? not that much. but i do love getting cozy at home and i always get a lot done around the house, which always somehow gets me redecorating — good for me, bad for my wallet! i put up some new kitchen shelves this week, which i’ll share soon and i’m doing a little bathroom makeover which i’ve mentioned below. i hope you’ve got some fun home projects in the works, too. enjoy your long holiday weekend, and we’ll see you back here on tuesday.
xo, victoria
- who isn’t a fan of ? and ? so inspiring! so many very vintage-inspired layers and yet he always manages to make it look effortlessly chic. this is pretty sublime.
- this impromptu for artist & designer is so cozy, don’t you think? brought to us by australian stylist extraordiare it’s no surprise — shes’ got style in gobs! i love the colorful from rachel’s shop!
- i’m in love with this by artist Tobi Fairley from anthropologie. i’m just trying to decide if there’s room for her to live on my living room gallery wall. she’s quite lovely, though, isn’t she? i must find a spot!
- this is quite ingenious. it’s so feminine and yet, i really love the modern touches they added to offset her glamour — that lamp, those velvet pillows and the very simple but beautiful bedding.
- i love this — they just don’t make storage as beautifully as this anymore. and i really love the mirror. i’m on the hunt for an unframed vintage vanity mirror for over my bathroom sink and something like this would very much fit the bill.
- i love this so much — everything about its eclectic vibe makes me happy. and again, here are those great frameless vintage mirrors i’m on the hunt for. why do i think i’ll find them in europe easily but perhaps the hunt may be a little more challenging stateside. but i won’t give up!
- do our pets deserve ? yes! why not? i’ve been thinking of creating a little vignette much like around lucy’s dog dishes and this is inspirational! mine might not be quite as grand, but i like the unusual and completely unexpected placement here.
- i really admire what creates in their showroom — a virtual living room to shop from, and their style is eclectic, impeccable and always inspiring. we’re doing a pop-up shop in san francisco in march with and super marché around this idea and i can’t wait to share it with you!
